New Start Medical offers self-pay patients affordable pricing and accepts most commercial insurance plans (listed below) and Medicare. Also, no long-term contracts are required. Please call our office for more details and/or for insurance eligibility.

Educational materials given at the initial visit and throughout the program - cost is included in the New Start Program Fee and the Restart Program Fee.
Body Composition analyses are required during your initial visit and every 2 months while actively losing weight. Body Composition analyses are required every 6 months while on a weight maintenance program. We utilize Body Composition Analysis to closely monitor your health and to adjust nutritional and exercise recommendations personalized to your specific body type and metabolism. This study is contraindicated if you are pregnant or have a cardiac device such as a pacemaker of a defibrillator.
New Start Program Fee includes: initial Body Composition analysis, personalized educational materials with the nutrition plan chosen by the patient, a one-year subscription to Muscles and Mindset, an exercise program tailored for New Start Medical patients, and a Start up New Start Medical bag.
Restart Program Fee includes: Body Composition analysis and educational materials. Restart Program Fee applies to any established patient who has not been seen by a New Start Medical provider in over 6 months.

Video visits - are only available to Pennsylvania residents as our providers are only licensed to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania. Having a BEAT Blood Pressure cuff is a requirement for the video visits. You can purchase this device out-of-pocket from our office.

Prescription Meal Replacements
These are high quality meal replacements available to all of our active patients. We recommend the New Direction line of prescription meal replacements from Robard Corporation. These supplements help you lose weight faster, prevent nutritional deficiencies and muscle mass loss while losing weight and are convenient and cost effective for patients with a busy life-work schedule. Skipping meals and/or eating foods that are not nutritionally helpful for your metabolism are common barriers to a successful weight management program.

New Start Medical will check with your insurance provider on your expected responsibility for medical visits. We will then email you with details of the expected costs of your medical visits. Typically, insurances require you pay a copay or meet your deductible before covering the medical visits provided as part of the New Start Medical Program. However, there are services we provide that are not typically covered by medical insurance companies and will be charged on a self-pay basis.
